Lisa Martinez, LSSP
I have been employed with Randolph Field ISD since 2015 serving special education students across the district. Prior to my time here at Randolph, I was a medic in the Army. My journey to becoming a licensed specialist in school psychology began with the idea that I wanted to work in a field that supports kids in overcoming barriers to success and found myself wanting to stay military connected.
It is my personal mission to build competent and confident staff by working to ensure all staff have the knowledge, skill, and training to adequately meet the needs of students who require specially designed instruction. It is my belief that educators should support students in ways that help each individual recognize and work toward his/her full potential each year.
Lisa Youens, MS/CCC-SLP Special Education Coordinator, (Grades 6-10 )Speech-Language Pathologist (Grades Pre-K - 12)
I have been working with students with special needs and their families as an SLP for over 20 years. While continuing to provide speech services for secondary students, I am glad to have the opportunity to work more collaboratively with families and school staff as the special education coordinator for grades 2-5, to help ensure that students receive appropriate services and that parents are well-informed members of their children’s educational team.
It is my mission to clearly communicate information and provide services in a way that empowers students and families to appreciate and build upon their strengths.
