RFISD Community Engagement & Public Relations
Welcome to the Community Engagement & Public Relations page!
RFISD is continually striving to build and strengthen relationships amongst Randolph students, parents, staff, and community members (past, present, and future), and this page is a great place for everyone to learn more about the amazing things happening in our district.
As you may know by now, RFISD will be implementing several new forms of communication beginning in the 2024-2025 school year, and we hope you will find them helpful!
First, we have a new district podcast (We Are Randolph. This Is Our Story.) that we are excited to share. Episodes will be released on the third Wednesday of each month and will feature a variety of guests from the Randolph community. Our first episode debuted in July, so, if you haven't had a chance to check it out yet, please feel free to give it a listen by clicking on the podcast link on this page. There will be a "Randolph Trivia" portion in each episode, and listeners will have an opportunity to win prizes by answering those trivia questions correctly--so, be sure to tune in each month to test your Randolph knowledge and learn more about our unique district!
Beginning in August, we will also be sharing monthly district electronic newsletters, which will be released on or near the 30th of each month. The newsletters will shine a spotlight on some of the special activities, events, honors, achievements, and stories happening within RFISD each month and will also include FAQ Videos to help educate our community on relevant, school-related topics.
Another new district-wide communication tool we will be implementing this year is ParentSquare, which supports communication between current students/parents/employees. We have created a "ParentSquare Hub" tab at the top of our district webpage, which will include a variety of ParentSquare resources that we will add to throughout the year. You can also access that page by clicking here.
We will still be utilizing our district and campus webpages, of course, along with the Randolph Elementary School, Randolph Secondary Schools, and Randolph Field Independent School District Facebook pages.
With so many great ways to share, we are always looking for story ideas that will help us showcase the great news being made daily in the district. If you have an idea for a special story, whether it's highlighting an event, a district resource, a student, a teacher, an alum, or a community member, we are always eager to promote student and district successes with the RFISD community and would love to hear from you.
You can submit your story idea by completing the RFISD Story Submission Form on this page. When submitting a story idea, please include as much information as possible so that we can properly share your story. Please confirm the spelling of names and places and include verified contact information.
We are committed to reading every submission and placing as many stories as possible in appropriate district communications; however, please note that submission of a story idea does not guarantee follow-up or inclusion in a specific publication or communication. Your email address and personal information will only be used to contact you regarding your submission if more information is needed and will not otherwise be shared.
We have also created a new RFISD Alumni Network Form, which can be found on the left side of this page. If you have graduated from high school and attended RFISD schools at any time during your school career, please complete the form to join our alumni network. Our alumni group is vital to RFISD, and we hope that creating this database will allow for increased outreach opportunities amongst our former students.
Please don't hesitate to reach out directly to me if you have any questions or ideas. I look forward to seeing you at various RFISD events throughout the year and wish each of you a wonderful 2024-2025 at Randolph.
Respectfully,
Amanda Bauer
